My daughter and I arrived to Playa del Carmen in the summer, which meant that school was out and temperatures were in the high 90's F (30's Celsius) during the day. I found a few summer camp options lasting one to two weeks, which wasn't merely enough to keep my little one occupied until the start of the new school cycle in September.
Thankfully, I discovered Senses World, a bilingual kids club for preschool-aged children that became a lifesaver for me and a fantastic way to ease June into our new life in Mexico.
Inspired in Waldorf and Montessori principles, Senses World provides a safe and fun place for kids to explore their independence and learn social skills through plenty of play time. Supervised activities include art projects, sensorial games, story time, swimming in an outdoor kids pool and caring for animals like rabbits and chickens in their small farm.
June truly loved her time there and her teacher, Miss Erika, who was absolutely amazing. Also, groups are kept small, which guarantees personal attention for each kid.
Senses World is open Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and also offers Mommy and Me music classes and babysitting options in the afternoons and evenings.

Hi, can I please message/email you directly. I was searching for info on Senses World and would like to hear directly from a parent who had their child there, before I decide to send my daughter there this summer.I can't tell how long ago this was posted.
