Top Reasons to Stay at Hotel Xcaret Mexico

I was invited to tour the sparkling Hotel Xcaret Mexico in Playa del Carmen, and I have to say that I loved it! There are many great all-inclusive options in the Mayan Riviera, but only a few offer a truly premium experience. While disbursing around $450 USD/night per person might cause a bit of a shock at first, it's good to know that the price tag delivers in terms of the exceptional quality of services, food and beverage options. Plus, this is the only resort that offers unlimited access to the different Xcaret parks and sightseeing tours nearby -- all incorporated into their unique All-Fun Inclusive® concept.

TOP 5 REASONS TO STAY HERE:

1. Exceptionally beautiful landscaping

Surrounded by nature, water canals and natural lagoons, and the Caribbean sea in the background, the hotel grounds are extremely spacious and ecologically integrated, designed for maximum relaxation.

2. Premium dinning and beverage options

With 11 restaurants and nine bars, you can have a romantic meal inside a cave; indulge in authentic Japanese cuisine; enjoy the varied buffet at El Mercado, and much more. Although not included in the all-inclusive package, you may want to make a reservation for dinner at Ha', by Chef Carlos Gaytan, the first Mexican chef to receive a Michelin Star.

3. Great for families

There are plenty of activities to engage in as a family, like kayaking down the natural canals along the property. There's also a dedicated kids area with its own pool, slides and cafeteria. Or you may drop your kids off at Xiquillos Club, open every day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. where they can participate in different activities including art, soccer, dance, tennis, cooking, and themed parties.

4. Xpa Muluk

Designed to blend with the natural landscape surrounding it, Xpa Muluk is an oasis within an oasis. There's a hydrotherapy circuit (one day admission available for $35 USD), cave rooms for massage treatments, and a long list of services that include facials, mud baths, a beauty salon, and more.

5. Did I mention access to the Xcaret parks is included?

There is a Xcaret experience for every type of vacationer, including the original Xcaret (great for young children), Xenses, Xel-Ha, Xplor, Xoximilco, Xavage, and the Xenotes Tour and Xichen Tour. Roundtrip transportation is always included, by the way.

P.s. If you're in the area but staying elsewhere, you can buy a Day Pass ($100 USD adults/$50 USD kids) that grants you access to the beautiful facilities and the majority of the all-inclusive food and beverage restaurants. As for me, just give me a day of pampering at Xpa Muluk while my little one is taken care of at Xiquillos Club. Yes, please!
